When summer ends my seafood intake lessens. Hot days in July and August are capped off by cool nights with shrimp, scallops, and salmon. In my quest to continue my healthy seafood eating habits during the school year I have found a few spots that will surely satisfy my appetite. The best part is all of these locations are walkable from the red doors of Spence!
Luke's Lobster
242 East 81st Street

The lobster rolls start at $23 which is a bit steep, however, despite the name of the restaurant there are plenty of alternatives. If you don't want to spring for a lobster roll, try the Maine Style shrimp roll $12-$17).
Seamore's Upper East Side
1278 Third Avenue

Rather new to the neighborhood, Seamore's has a delectable weekend brunch with shrimp and grits ($24) or Baja fish tacos (2 for $18). If comfort food attracts you, the New England clam chowder $16) is superb.
Flex Mussels
1431 Third Avenue

A fun place to grab dinner with a friend to sample fresh fish tacos ($18 for a small plate) topped with delicious chipotle aioli. For an extra treat, the parmesan truffle fries ($13) are perfect for sharing.
Bon appetit!
