Jamdown is a website dedicated to Jamaicans abroad, like me, who miss their culture and wish to reminiscence about the past. This website touches on the island's history and culture, has an interview section with responses from Jamaicans in my community and mentions Jamaican businesses inside Jamaica and in New York. In addition it, has a blog for open discussion. The website mostly features some photos from the internet and some self-made illustrations (Ex: logo).

The purpose of this website is to connect those both abroad and home with one another. Even if you can't be physically immersed in the culture, it is my hope that the format in which the information is provided is engaging enough to draw on past memories.
